About the Pantry
Q: What is Lucy’s Pet Food Pantry?
A: We are a grassroots, volunteer-run initiative in the Niagara region dedicated to helping pet owners who are facing financial challenges. Our goal is to keep pets with their families by providing free emergency supplemental pet food relief.
Q: Who can use the pantry?
A: Our services are available to residents of the Niagara region who are experiencing financial hardship, unemployment, underemployment, disability, or other difficult life circumstances.
Q: What types of pets do you help?
A: We primarily support dogs and cats, though we sometimes receive donations for other small pets.
A Note To Our Community
At Lucy’s Pet Food Pantry, our goal is to help as many pets as possible in times of need.
At this time, we are not in a position to hand out full bags of food. Instead, we provide portioned food donations as available; each clearly labeled with its weight and a best before date. This allows us to stretch our resources and reach more pet owners in emergency situations. Please be aware, we cannot be responsible for any adverse reactions or illness your pets may have from the food we provide. Food must be picked up at designated times/locations as posted.
As we receive more donations and support from sponsors, including pet food companies and community partners, we will try to serve as many pet owners in need both fairly and safely. With increased supplies, we hope to one day provide more food to pet owners in need.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep No Bowls Left Empty!
Getting Help
Q: How do I apply for assistance?
A: You can fill out an application form when available. At times our form will not be available, as we do not want to be stressed to a point where we cannot meet demand. We do ask that you reside within Niagara Region, and provide basic details about your pet(s).
Q: How often can I receive food?
A: The amount may vary depending on donations and supply levels. You must reapply for subsequent food requests.
Q: Do you deliver food?
A: Food must be picked up at designated times/locations as posted. Limited delivery may be available in exceptional cases (for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those without transportation), depending on availability. There is a small service fee of $5 to offset fuel costs, payable through eTransfer or cash on delivery.

Q: I represent a business or organization, how can we help?
A: We welcome sponsorships, food drives, and bulk supply partnerships. Please contact our team here.

A: You can make a one-time or monthly donation directly through our website. Every dollar goes toward purchasing pet food and supplies for pets in need.
Q: Do you provide tax receipts?
